Episode 27 The "Junon Super Boy Contest" Winner Has Been Decided

On November 23, the monthly magazine JUNON (Shufu to Seikatsu Sha) held the final selection round for the 27th "Junon Super Boy Contest" at Ebisu Garden Hall in Tokyo. Held since 1988, this contest targets boys aged 13 to 22 who are not affiliated with talent agencies, aiming to discover new talent with star potential. It has produced numerous active actors and singers. This year saw a total of 13,520 applicants. From the 11 finalists who advanced through document screening, interviews, and reader voting, one Grand Prix winner, one Runner-up, and one Photogenic Award winner were selected.

Guest judges for the final round were singer Tomomi Itano and model IVAN. The finalists showcased their talents—such as dancing and singing—in the first round's free performance segment. In the second round, they challenged themselves to a "love confession" performance directed at Itano, highlighting their creativity and humor.

The top prize, the Grand Prix, was won by Shun Nishime (16). "I know some people might be disappointed that I won the Grand Prix, but I want to win them over as fans too. I'm incredibly happy to be the first Grand Prix winner from Okinawa. I want to work hard so that when people think of Okinawa, they think of Nishime," he said, expressing his joy.

The Runner-up Grand Prix went to Jin'ai Akutsu (13), the Photogenic Award to Saita Chiba (17), and the Judges' Special Award to Hayashi Tagawa (13). Sponsored awards included the AOKI Award for Chiba, the Lotte Koume Award for Tagawa, and the Meishoku Biyou Boy Award for Ryo Tanaka (17).
