Dentsu Inc. agrees to acquire 51% stake in Australian creative agency BWM

Dentsu Inc.'s overseas headquarters, Dentsu Aegis Network, announced today that it has reached an agreement with the shareholders of Australian creative agency "Belgiovane Williams Mackay Pty Ltd" (hereinafter "BWM") to acquire a 51% stake in the company. The agreement also grants the Dentsu Group an option to make BWM a wholly-owned subsidiary as early as the end of 2019.

Named after the initials of its three founders, BWM was established in 1996. It excels in full-service creative and direct marketing, and through collaboration with its four specialized service subsidiaries, also provides PR, social marketing, and digital communication services.

Following the acquisition, BWM will be renamed 'BWM Dentsu' and will serve as the Dentsu Group's flagship creative agency in the country.
