HONDA Unveils New Six-Seater Passenger Car "JADE" A minivan designed for enjoying urban life in Japan: "Urban Concept."

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. unveiled its new minivan-class passenger car, the "JADE," at the Honda Welcome Plaza Aoyama on February 12.

The presentation began with the unveiling of the display vehicle and opening remarks by Honda Motor Co., Ltd. Senior Managing Executive Officer and Head of Japan Operations, Mr. Nao Minegawa. Following the screening of a TV commercial showcasing the Jade's beautiful and agile urban driving, Mr. Yasutaka Inami, Development Manager at Honda R&D Co., Ltd., explained the development concept and key features.

"Our goal was to create a car that appeals to a wide range of generations while also responding to individual preferences. To achieve this, we believed it was crucial to harmonize at a high level the inherently conflicting elements of Emotional (styling and driving dynamics) and Functional (comfort and usability) – the essential values a car inherently possesses," said Inami.

The result is a vehicle poised to lead the era ahead, featuring: - Optimal design and convenience for those seeking to enrich urban living - A stylish form with low overall height for multi-level parking - A versatile, spacious three-row seating configuration - The advanced safety driving support system "Honda SENSING" - Class-leading fuel efficiency of 25 km/L achieved by the "SPORT HYBRID i-DCD" hybrid system.
