Tokyo Gas signed a sponsorship program agreement with the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games on July 27, becoming an Official Partner for the Tokyo 2020 Games.
The contract category is "Gas and Gas Public Services."
President Michiaki Hirose commented, "As a local company responsible for energy supply in the Tokyo metropolitan area, we want to contribute to the Games' success by supporting their smooth operation, particularly through expanding our support for Paralympic sports."
The Tokyo 2020 Sponsorship Program consists of the highest-level domestic Gold Partners, Official Partners, and Official Supporters. These partners are associated with the Japanese Olympic and Paralympic teams for six years, including the 2020 Games, and are entitled to rights such as the use of titles and emblems.
Currently, there are 13 Gold Partners and, with the addition of Tokyo Gas, three Official Partners.
