The inaugural Media Trust Triathlon was held on July 12 in Eaton Dony, near London. The event aimed to raise funds for Media Trust, a charity connecting young people and organizations with the media industry to enhance communication skills. It was organized and run by Dentsu Inc. Aegis Network (DAN), Google, and the Daily Mail. Under the blazing sun, approximately 600 participants from around 100 media and advertising companies gathered to compete.
A total of 70 employees from DAN, including its headquarters, Carat, Isobar, iProspect, Amplifi, Posterscope, Carat Enterprise, Data2Decisions, and DAN Sports & Entertainment participated. CEO Jerry Bullmann, Global CFO Nick Pride, Global CTO Mike Young, and Asia Pacific CEO Nick Waters were among those in attendance. Olympic heptathlete Louise Hazel and Paralympian Pamela Relf also made appearances, thrilling the crowd.
The event raised over £25,000, which was donated to Media Trust. DAN CEO Jerry Bullmann said, "By raising awareness of Media Trust's activities through this event, we can expand the communication possibilities for charities and young people throughout the UK. It's wonderful that our industry can cooperate in this way."
The Media Trust Triathlon is set to become an annual event symbolizing the UK media industry and will continue to be held next year and beyond.
