US-based ★ Twitter to deliver Promoted Tweets outside of Twitter

Ad Age reports that Twitter announced in August it will begin serving Promoted Tweets and video ads—previously only visible on Twitter itself—to mobile apps outside of Twitter. The company acquired mobile ad exchange MoPub in 2013 and has since strengthened its mobile ad delivery. Using the revamped Twitter Audience Program ad platform—which enhances features from the previous Twitter Publisher Network—ads will now appear across thousands of MoPub apps. This enables reaching Twitter's 700 million users both on and off the platform.
