Announcement of the "Mecenat Award 2015"

The Corporate Patronage Council announced the seven winning activities for the "Mecenat Award 2015" on October 15th (1 Grand Prize, 5 Excellence Awards, 1 Special Award: Minister of Culture Award).

This award recognizes particularly outstanding activities that contribute to social innovation through art and culture. This year, Dai-Nichi Co., Ltd.'s "Louvre – DNP Museum Lab Art Appreciation Workshop" won the Grand Prize. It was recognized for developing art appreciation workshops through collaborations with the Louvre Museum and educational institutions, utilizing its own technology, and for its long-term efforts to nurture children's rich sensibilities.

A diverse array of activities from various regions were also recognized, spanning music, art appreciation education, photography, craftsmanship, and traditional culture.
The award ceremony is scheduled for November 20 in Tokyo.
