Life-Threatening Shooting for "Shiroi Koibito" New CM

Ishiya Confectionery began airing its new TV commercial for its flagship product "Shiroi Koibito" ("White Lover"), titled "Heart Lake: Early Winter Edition," in the Kanto region and other major areas starting November 7.

The commercial is set at Lake Toyoshi in Erimo Town, southern Hokkaido. While beloved as a heart-shaped lake (Heart Lake), it sees no visitors in winter, and its wintry scenery remains largely unknown. Filming at snowbound Toyoniko Lake began with three days of road snow removal. Even then, the entire crew had to walk from the road to the lake wearing snowshoes in -7°C (-15°F) temperatures. Walking on the frozen lake surface required extreme caution, making it a life-threatening shoot.

The final shot of the commercial reveals the white Heart Lake nestled among snowy mountains. This aerial view combines footage shot from a light aircraft at over 1,000 meters altitude with shots captured by a camera-equipped radio-controlled aircraft.
