Kanpo Life Insurance Launches New Corporate Ad Campaign: "Life is Full of Dreams."
Japan Post Group's Kanpo Life Insurance has launched a new corporate advertising series under the tagline "Life is full of dreams." The company will offer products like its whole life insurance "New Nagaki-kun" through its nationwide network of post offices and directly managed stores.
Ahead of the March 1 broadcast of the new TV commercial "That's Life, My Life," a presentation was held on February 29 at Hotel New Otani in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo.
President Masami Ishii stated, "This commercial features actress Mitsuki Takahata, who is also a talented singer, in a musical-style production. It embodies our aspiration to become a 'big, unique, and warm' company. We hope you enjoy the Takahata World."

The "That's Life, My Life" edition features a musical unfolding in another world, triggered by the singing voices of people passing through the city and drawing Takahata into it. A colorful stage comes alive with dancing and singing. Takahata, realizing that "every life is unique and the world is filled with wonderful things," performs the musical with a radiant expression. The music, composed by musician Ringo Shiina, conveys the universal message that "life is wonderful" and "this world isn't so bad," consistent with the new series.

After the commercial aired, panels on the stage opened to reveal a sparkling set with lights, just like in the commercial. Takahata appeared, backed by dancers. A longtime fan of the company's commercials, she said, "Coming from a musical background, seeing the set made me excited. I'm happy to be part of it." She added that becoming a stage actress, her childhood dream, made her think, "I think I've had a good life." She made the audience laugh by attributing the power to fulfill dreams to "grit and determination," then shyly revealed her future dream is "to become a mother." She concluded, "I'd be happy if everyone could feel the importance of living without forgetting the worldview and curiosity shown in the commercial."

The company also plans to launch a series of graphic advertisements. These will feature the main visual—Ms. Takahata's various expressions paired with the tagline "Life has no map or navigation. That's why we need dreams." The ads will appear on posters, transit media, and online.
