On March 9, Dentsu Inc. announced a new service developed in collaboration with Blogwatcher Inc. This service integrates Blogwatcher Inc.'s O2O (Online-to-Offline) solution "Profile Passport" with "Dentsu.io".
Dentsu Inc. provides "Dentsu.io"*, a cloud-based data analytics platform that supports corporate decision-making (Dentsu I.O.). The newly enhanced "Profile Passport," developed through this collaboration, is a notification-based information delivery solution for smartphones. It integrates with geofencing (which sets virtual areas) and the low-power, low-cost location system "iBeacon" to deliver ads and messages guiding consumers to stores at optimal times based on their smartphone location.
"Profile Passport" also accumulates access log data, such as smartphone location. This enhancement enables the cross-referencing of access logs with Dentsu Inc.'s proprietary marketing data on "Dentsu.io." This visualizes three key elements: "consumers' offline behavior," "attributes," and "insights."
Specifically, by linking and analyzing user actions—such as movements inside and outside stores and whether they actually purchased products—with attributes and insights like demographics and values, it enables data-driven marketing grounded in unprecedented deep customer understanding.
Furthermore, by leveraging and clustering this accumulated user data, it becomes possible to perform highly accurate segmentation and targeting tailored to each cluster. This leads to the delivery of ads and messages based on these insights and enables advanced O2O solutions.
Moving forward, Dentsu Inc. and Blogwatcher Inc. will provide the enhanced "Dentsu.io" to companies in industries such as distribution/retail, food service, beverages, food, automotive, real estate, and entertainment.
