NEWSPAPER MARCHÉ: An Event Creating New Encounters with Newspapers—Held April 8-10 at Futakotamagawa Rise

The Japan Newspaper Publishers & Editors Association will hold a PR event titled "NEWSPAPER MARCHÉ: Discover New Ways to Engage with Newspapers" at the Futakotamagawa Rise complex in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, from April 8th to 10th. The venue will provide various opportunities for young people aged 10 to 30, particularly university students, young working adults, and families, to engage with newspapers.

Alongside a café corner where visitors can sample newspapers from NPA member publications and a space for parents and children to experience cutting out newspaper articles, the event will feature a newspaper-themed song and dance performance for children. The exhibition aims to show that opening a newspaper can lead to unexpected discoveries, revealing things you didn't know or hadn't considered learning. By creating engaging displays that appeal to generations less familiar with newspapers and providing easy ways to interact with them, the event seeks to spark interest in newspapers and help refresh perceptions of them.
