Tokyo University of the Arts' "About Plastic" Wins Grand Prix at the 12th AC Japan CM Student Awards

AC Japan held the award ceremony for the 12th AC Japan CM Student Awards (sponsored by BS Nippon, BS Asahi, BS-TBS, BS Japan, BS Fuji, WOWOW, BS11, BS12, and Dlife) at Suntory Hall in Minato Ward, Tokyo, on March 28.

This year's Grand Prix went to "About Plastic" by Yuta Kosaka and others from Tokyo University of the Arts. The work, composed of beautiful imagery reminiscent of watercolor paintings, depicts the problems artificial objects pose to the natural environment. It was highly regarded for its gentle yet compelling portrayal of how plastic threatens the lives of animals.

The Runner-up Grand Prize and BS Commercial Broadcasters Award went to "With Left-Handed People" by Mai Komatsubara of Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts and others. Both works are scheduled to air for one year starting July 1st on the nine BS commercial broadcasters.
