Dentsu Inc. Agrees to Acquire 51% Stake in Egypt's Integrated Digital Agency Digital Republic

On May 31, Dentsu Inc.'s overseas headquarters, Dentsu Aegis Network, announced it had reached an agreement with shareholders to acquire a 51% stake in Digital Republic SAE, a full-service digital agency in Egypt.

Founded in 2009, Digital Republic is Egypt's largest independent agency providing digital creative services. It offers comprehensive digital solutions, including digital advertising and social media-driven services, and opened a branch in Dubai in 2012.

The company serves global and prominent local clients across the Middle East region, with its innovative creativity highly valued by client companies.

With the addition of Digital Republic, the Dentsu Group will become the third-largest agency group in Egypt. Based on the number of advertising awards won in the digital domain and the scale and capability of its services as estimated by the number of employees, it will secure the number one position (Dentsu Inc. estimate).

Following the acquisition, Dentsu Inc. will integrate Digital Republic into the Isobar network, one of its global network brands providing digital services. Operating under the brand name "Digital Republic, Linked by Isobar," the company will collaborate with other group companies to strengthen its foundation and enhance its presence in the growing MENA (Middle East and North Africa) market.
