House of Councillors Election Suzu Hirose promotes early voting

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has appointed actress Suzu Hirose as the promotional character for the 24th Regular Election of Members of the House of Councillors (Voting Day: July 10th). Public relations activities are being conducted through posters and the official website. With the voting age lowered to 18 years old for this election, attention is focused on the behavior of young voters.

On July 4th, Hirose promoted early voting at Setagaya Ward Office in Tokyo.

After demonstrating how to vote, Hirose commented, "I can participate in this election now that I'm 18. I hope my peers will join this election that decides Japan's future, carrying the belief that 'we are the protagonists' in their hearts." She revealed she had just completed her early voting.
