The "Communication Tips" program, implemented by Dentsu Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Nao Ishii) to support NPO communication skills enhancement, has been awarded the "Good Design Best 100" *1 (Category: Regional/Community Development / Social Contribution Activities).

As a social contribution initiative to enhance NPO public relations, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities from a communications perspective, Dentsu Inc. has collaborated with the Certified Specified Nonprofit Corporation Japan NPO Center*2 on the "Tips for Effective Communication" activities since February 2005.

In 2004, Dentsu Inc. and the Japan NPO Center established the "NPO Public Relations Enhancement Committee" *3. By pooling their respective expertise, they developed the program. Since then, Dentsu Inc. employees and NPO members have served as instructors, conducting seminars nationwide. In November 2015, the third revised edition of the program textbook was published. As the project entered its twelfth year, it had reached 120 sessions with approximately 4,800 participants (as of March 2016).

Having received recognition for our collaborative activities with NPOs, we will continue to support these vital entities in civil society by strengthening their communication skills through "communication techniques."
