Dentsu Inc. Establishes New Company 'Dentsu Techno Camp' in Vietnam to Strengthen and Expand Development and Operation Framework for Digital Solutions Targeting the Domestic Market
Dentsu Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, Vice President and Executive Officer: Shoichi Nakamoto; Capital: ¥74,698.1 million) has established a new company in Vietnam, "DENTSU TECHNO CAMP CO., LTD." (Headquarters: Ho Chi Minh City; President: Yuji Xue; hereinafter "EVOLABLE ASIA"), through joint investment with EVOLABLE ASIA CO., LTD. (Headquarters: Ho Chi Minh City; President: Yuji Xue; hereinafter "EVOLABLE ASIA"), to strengthen and expand its solution development and operation framework in the digital marketing domain for the Japanese domestic market. The establishment of this new company stems from the expansion of business in the growing digital marketing market. Furthermore, within Japan's aging and declining population market, concerns exist regarding the decreasing number of developers such as programmers and system engineers, making the securing of human resources a significant challenge. Consequently, there has been a growing need for an organization proficient in the latest digital technologies, capable of efficiently and stably handling diverse solution development and operation tasks. Specifically, to meet the increasing demand for solutions such as websites, systems, and smartphone apps, strengthening and expanding the operational framework for integrated services—covering service design, screen specification creation, design, coding, image processing, and verification—has become an urgent priority.
Our company, aiming to strengthen its digital marketing capabilities, and Evolable Asia, which already operates IT offshore development services in Vietnam and seeks further business expansion, found their visions aligned. Consequently, we have decided to jointly establish a joint venture (JV) to mutually provide expertise and resources.
Moving forward, our group will accelerate its growth strategy by enhancing competitiveness in the digital marketing domain and providing higher value-added services through collaboration with the new company, Dentsu Techno Camp, and Evolvable Asia.
The impact of this matter on the consolidated results for the fiscal year ending December 2017 is immaterial.
