Dentsu Inc. wins three awards at the 20th Asia Pacific Advertising Festival (ADFEST 2017)

Dentsu Inc. Wins "Network of the Year," "Agency of the Year," and "Interactive Agency of the Year" at the 20th Asia Pacific Advertising Festival (ADFEST 2017)
The 20th Asia Pacific Advertising Festival (ADFEST 2017) *1 was held over four days from March 22 to 25 in Pattaya, Thailand. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the festival highly recognized the creativity of our group. As a group, we won "Network of the Year." Additionally, Dentsu Inc. was honored as "Agency of the Year" ※2 and "Interactive Agency of the Year" for the fourth consecutive year as an individual advertising company.

Our group's total awards were 56: 4 Grande, 10 Gold, 17 Silver, 21 Bronze, 1 Branded Content Lotus, 2 Effective Lotus, and 1 Integrated Lotus. The number of awards by category is as follows.

In addition, a young director from Dentsu Creative X Inc. (X stands for Cross) was selected as one of this year's "Fabulous Four" ※3.
Furthermore, Dentsu Inc. collaborated on the design development of the conference logo for ADFEST 2017, which celebrated its 20th anniversary, aligning with the event's theme "20 Years of Diversity."
※1 ADFEST, established in 1998, is the largest advertising festival in the Asia-Pacific region and is recognized as one of the world's most prestigious advertising awards. According to the ADFEST President, this year saw 1,342 participants from 72 cities competing across 18 categories: Branded Content & Entertainment, Design, Direct, Effective, Film Craft, Film, Innovation, Integrated, Interactive, Lotus Roots, Media, Mobile, Outdoor, Press, Print Craft, Promo, Radio, and New Director.
※2 Dentsu Inc. won "Agency of the Year" in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, and 2016. Dentsu Group Inc.'s Taproot (now Taproot Dentsu, located in Mumbai, India) won in 2013.
※3 "Fabulous Four" is a project run by ADFEST aimed at nurturing young directors. It invites young directors to submit scripts for short films (5 minutes or less) based on a theme. After judging by the ADFEST Film Craft and Director categories juries, four individuals are selected to actually produce their films. This year's theme is "20 Years of Diversity".
