Afternoon Tea's new commercial features Moka Kamishiraishi singing the classic song "Kaede"

Kirin Beverage began airing a new TV commercial for its "Kirin Afternoon Tea" brand on December 6th, titled "I Want to See You, I Want to Warm You. 17 Winter." Following the first installment "I Want to See You, I Want to Warm You" in Winter 2016 and the second installment "Calm Down, Love" in Summer 2017, this new ad features actress Moka Kamishiraishi and actor Kai Inowaki, both currently high school students. It was filmed in Minamiaso Village, Kumamoto Prefecture.

This installment features the two characters, now grown up since the previous story. It depicts the bittersweet yet warm long-distance relationship between him, who moved to Tokyo after graduating high school, and her, who remained in their hometown.

Infused with the desire to "warm Japan's winter," the pure and sincere love that keeps them thinking of each other despite the distance is expressed through Kamishiraishi's singing voice set to Spitz's famous song "Kaede" and the "Afternoon Tea Warm Series."

Kamishiraishi's clear voice, resonating under the beautiful winter night sky of Minamiaso Village, gently warms and heals those bittersweet feelings of love.

Kohiraishi shared that she often listened to Spitz songs since childhood, saying, "I've always loved their refreshing melodies and beautiful word choices. This time, through 'Kaede,' I expressed feelings for someone dear far away. I hope viewers watch while imagining such feelings."

She also happily shared about revisiting Miharashidai, the location for the first commercial, after a year: "It looked just as it did before, and it felt like it warmly welcomed the slightly more mature me back with a 'Welcome home.' I was able to film while feeling healed, both physically and emotionally, by the height of Aso's sky and the sweetness of its air."

After the first commercial aired, a notebook was placed at Miharadai Station, the setting. Installed by fans of the Minami-Aso Railway, it's filled with messages of support for the people of Kumamoto from visitors who came from all over Japan after seeing the Afternoon Tea commercial.

Seeing the notebook, Ms. Kamishiraishi remarked, "It's incredible. Though time has passed since the disaster, there are still people enduring hardship. I hope this new commercial becomes an opportunity for people to think about them, and I want to think about them too."

In the notebook filled with so many people's thoughts, Kamishiraishi also wrote the line "Let's join hands," which she sang in the first commercial, alongside a rabbit illustration, directed towards the people of Minami-Aso who continue striving for recovery.

When asked about her feelings after completing the third shoot, she smiled and said, "I was truly delighted to be asked back for the third time. I feel incredibly happy that this work I love so much is continuing like this. I hope people will pay attention to the different atmosphere, music, and romantic dynamics compared to the previous series."
