On January 18, Shiseido held the grand opening ceremony for its comprehensive beauty facility "SHISEIDO THE STORE" at the facility in Chuo Ward, Tokyo.
Renamed from the previous "SHISEIDO THE GINZA," it embodies Shiseido's long-standing research, accumulated "knowledge," "technology," "brand value," and "cultural value" as the flagship store, offering comprehensive beauty proposals to domestic and international customers visiting Ginza. It opens on the 19th.
Expanding by one floor from the previous facility, it caters to diversifying customer needs. It offers high-end cosmetics like Clé de Peau Beauté, beauty services including esthetics and hair/makeup, photo studio services, private beauty lessons, a café focused on quality ingredients, and beauty seminars. Specialists in each field will provide beauty solutions to customers.
At the opening ceremony, President and CEO Masahiko Uotani stated, "Ginza is the birthplace of Shiseido's cosmetics business. We have expressed all the beauty values, technology, and know-how cultivated over more than 100 years here. We aim to make this a new base for projecting our Japanese-born global brand to the world." Project Manager Yuko Masushio also explained the features of each floor of the facility.
Appearing as guests at the ceremony were sisters Izumi Mori, a model and talent featured in the company's programs, and Hikari Mori, who also models in the company's advertisements. They participated in a talk show and celebrated the opening by performing the ribbon-cutting ceremony with President Uotani.
Mori Izumi commented, "It's exciting, and I want to try everything. You can get advice from beauty specialists and discover a new version of yourself. I want to become a wonderful woman who can maintain her aura here." Mori Hikari shared her impressions: "It's a place that produces your day. The products are easy to see and compactly arranged. The moment you step inside, you discover all sorts of things and leave feeling happy."
