Dentsu Inc. Strengthens Digital Marketing Services in Latin America

Acquisition of 100% of Shares in Argentina's Leading Independent Digital Agency, GlobalMinds

Dentsu Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Toshihiro Yamamoto; Capital: ¥74,609.81 million) has reached an agreement with the shareholders of Global Mind S.A. (Headquarters: Buenos Aires; Founder and CEO: Marcelo Montefiore; hereinafter "Global Mind"), a leading independent digital agency in Argentina, to acquire 100% of its shares through its overseas headquarters, Dentsu Aegis Network (※).

Founded in 2001, Global Mind has grown by providing comprehensive digital marketing services, including digital marketing strategy development, digital advertising production and distribution, performance advertising implementation and verification, social media utilization, SEM (Search Engine Marketing), SEO (Search Engine Optimization), and data management and analysis.

Currently employing approximately 120 staff and operating a sales office in Miami, USA, Global Mind delivers highly specialized services not only in Argentina but throughout Latin America, establishing itself as a major digital agency.

Following the acquisition, we will integrate Global Mind into our group's global network brand (※), specifically aligning it with iProspect (headquartered in London, UK), which specializes in digital performance (programmatic advertising). This will strengthen our digital marketing services and expand our business scale in Latin America, using Argentina as a base.

In April of this year, we acquired M8, Inc. (U.S.), which also operates in Latin America, and Chile's White Label. The acquisition of Global Mind will further accelerate our group's growth strategy in this region.

The impact of this transaction on the Group's consolidated results for the fiscal year ending December 2018 is expected to be minimal.
