Dentsu Inc. and Getty Images Japan form business alliance for service development and sales

Dentsu Inc. has entered into a business partnership agreement with Getty Images Japan (hereinafter "Getty Images"), the Japanese subsidiary of Getty Images, Inc., one of the world's largest digital content companies globally engaged in the licensing business of still images, video, multimedia products, and music.

This partnership stems from growing demand for global PR. Accelerated overseas expansion by Japanese companies and the rise of social media have increased the need for visual communication. The importance of Japan-originated global information dissemination is expected to grow even further.

The two companies will collaborate on: ① Strategic utilization of Getty Images' online PR material distribution service "image.net" as part of Dentsu Inc.'s global PR solutions and services; and ② Development and sales of new services, technologies, and products in the areas of content marketing and promotion.

image.net ( http://www.image.net/ ) is the world's largest online PR material distribution service, capable of contacting over 80,000 media outlets in more than 70 countries. Its key features include the timely delivery of rich content—such as still images and video footage—ready for immediate use as news material to global media outlets registered with image.net, including TV stations, major newspapers, magazines, and online media. It also facilitates easy tracking of media access history and publication details.

Event organizers, sponsoring companies, sports organizations, film distributors, and others can utilize it globally when distributing information as press releases for new product launches or sponsored/supported events, as well as when distributing video content. Pricing starts at ¥1.3 million (excluding tax) for distribution limited to specific regions, and ¥4 million (excluding tax) for package pricing that includes release creation, photography, etc.
