2020 New Graduate Recruitment Begins! The Meaning Behind "Use Dentsu Inc."

So, how will you use Dentsu Inc.?

Nice to meet you. I'm Kumiko Kitano, in charge of new graduate recruitment. Dentsu Inc.'s 2020 new graduate recruitment began on March 1, 2019. Here, I'll share the thoughts behind our recruitment concept and the kind of people we're looking for.

Each year, we develop a concept based on our recruitment strategy at that time, aiming to express the current state of Dentsu Inc. in words and convey it clearly to students.

This year, we've adopted the concept: "Use Dentsu Inc."
To develop this concept, we gathered input from all kinds of Dentsu Inc. employees: first-year employees who were students just recently, employees active on the front lines, and employees involved in formulating the company's management strategy.

Questions like "What is Dentsu Inc. today?" and "What defines Dentsu Inc.'s essence?" are challenging to articulate, even for those within the company itself.

The recruitment communications team, composed of recruitment staff and frontline employees, crafted the concept by referencing these diverse voices.

The resulting concept is this.

In today's job market, new graduates hold the advantage, and students tend to narrow down the number of companies they apply to. Furthermore, countless options exist, such as not joining an existing organization and instead starting one's own business to turn personal passions into work. Amidst this, what are the benefits of belonging to Dentsu Inc.?

Dentsu Inc. has a history of diverse ventures: working directly with clients, tackling societal challenges head-on, developing solutions using new technologies, and launching new businesses from scratch. What lies at its core is the freedom to connect with anyone, if you choose to.

If you have something you want to do, you can rally colleagues, build significant momentum, and make it happen. The company is full of fascinating employees. No matter how exceptional you think you are, you'll find people with different personalities and skills who will help you grow.

When we strive to create a new future, the process is undoubtedly challenging, yet our employees seem to find joy in their work. I believe working at Dentsu Inc. connects you to a future unimaginable alone.

We expressed this sentiment through the concept: "Grasp Dentsu Inc."

From everyday objects to grand projects set in space, every corner of this world is Dentsu Inc.'s field. What kind of colleagues are there? What kind of know-how do we possess? What actual projects are we undertaking? To convey this to students in a fun and easy-to-understand way, we used illustrations. This playful spirit is also one of the great charms of working at Dentsu Inc.

At Dentsu Inc., where people are our greatest asset, we constantly seek diverse individuals. While it's difficult to summarize our ideal candidate in a single phrase, we value two key qualities: "the ability to think" and "the ability to execute."

We believe our value is born only when two things combine: the "ability to think" that constantly identifies challenges and solves them, and the "ability to execute" that tenaciously sees through the ideas we've developed to the very end.

Hear directly from our employees at the "DENTSU GREETING EVENT"!

We often receive questions from students asking how to approach alumni visits. Dentsu Inc. will hold its company information session, "DENTSU GREETING EVENT," in Tokyo, Chubu, and Kansai in March. This event features diverse content, including lectures by employees active at the forefront of various fields and roundtable discussions where you can meet many young employees at once.

Pre-registration (personal information registration) and application acceptance begin on March 1, 2019. Those who pre-register can reserve a spot for this company information sessionvia the 2020 New Graduate Recruitment website. We encourage you to participate and come meet our employees.

For the 2020 graduate recruitment, we are hiring for three positions: General Positions, Art Positions, and Digital Creative Positions. You may apply for multiple positions. The entry deadlines are listed below, so please apply within the specified period.

Entry Deadline:
General Positions: Until noon on Friday, April 5
Art Positions / Digital Creative Positions: Until noon on Friday, March 29

Finally. When I was job hunting, I spoke with many alumni employees. Each person's work was completely different, making it hard to grasp—but I remember being fascinated by that elusive mystery, realizing just how diverse the work was. Now, being on the side seeking new colleagues for the company, it feels deeply meaningful to me personally. Through communication design, I've also reaffirmed what an interesting company this is. I still haven't grasped the whole picture yet (laughs).

I believe that with new possibilities joining us, the unfinished Dentsu Inc. will continue to evolve.

I look forward to meeting you all.
Let's build an exciting future together.
