"Survios Virtual Reality Arcade" An immersive boxing experience

On May 23, Dentsu Inc. collaborated with Survios, Inc. (Survios) to open the VR experience facility "Survios Virtual Reality Arcade" for a limited time at "BASE Q" in Tokyo Midtown Hibiya, Chiyoda Ward (open until June 3).

Survios is highly regarded for developing high-quality VR games and also operates the popular VR experience facility "Survios Virtual Reality Arcade" in Los Angeles.
Spaces where users can experience VR games (location-based VR), similar to the Arcade, are increasing in various locations—not limited to game centers, but also in movie theaters, shopping malls, airports, and more—primarily in the US, China, and Southeast Asia.

While home VR adoption has been slow due to factors like device cost, location-based VR is gaining attention as a place to easily enjoy high-quality content. Dentsu Inc. and Dentsu Ventures are supporting Survios as it aims for full-scale entry into the Japanese market.

This opening aims not only to promote the service to the public but also to utilize the content for marketing and expand business in collaboration with partners such as content holders and amusement facilities.

The VR game available for free trial at the venue is "CREED: Rise to Glory."
Immersing players in the world of "Creed," a spin-off of the "Rocky" film series, it allows users to select boxers from previous installments for combat. The venue has been bustling with visitors since opening day.

The game was developed primarily for film branding purposes, with development costs covered by Hollywood studio Metro Goldwyn Mayer and production handled by Sabios.
It faithfully reproduces actual boxing movements. Videos of US influencers playing the game have reportedly garnered around 10 million views on Instagram.
