LIXIL First Presenting Partner for the Paralympic Torch Relay

LIXIL, a Gold Partner of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, signed a new agreement with the Organizing Committee on October 2nd, becoming the first presenting partner for the Tokyo Paralympic Torch Relay.
The company is responsible for "material manufacturing" for the Olympic and Paralympic Torch Relay torches, utilizing materials such as windows from temporary housing units that served their purpose in areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.

The Paralympic Torch Relay partnership program has three tiers: Presenting Partner, Supporting Partner, and Associating Partner.
Presenting Partners can conduct promotional activities such as campaigns to recruit torchbearers and use the Torch Relay emblem.

Chairman Kinya Seto commented, "We are honored to be the first Presenting Partner. As a Tokyo 2020 Gold Partner, our company is engaged in various activities aiming to realize a 'universal society'. For the Paralympic Torch Relay, we will work as one company, delivering hope to many with a spirit of 'consideration' and 'hospitality'."

Organizing Committee Chairman Yoshiro Mori commented, "As a company involved in housing and supporting daily life, LIXIL has been providing opportunities for children nationwide to experience a society of coexistence through its 'Universal Run (Sports Prosthetic Leg Experience Lessons)'. We have high expectations that LIXIL will play a part in realizing a universal society through the Torch Relay."
