NTT DOCOMO announced on March 25 that as a spin-off project of the creative painting contest "DOCOMO Future Museum," which supports children's ability to depict their future and dreams, the Hoshipro members led by HoshP (Hoshino Gen) independently established the "Hoshipro Award." They selected the winning work and actually turned it into a product.
Titled " Hoshipro Produce: Realizing Children's Imagination! Supported by Docomo Future Museum," the project launched in December 2019. The Hoshipro Award selected "Talking with Flowers" by Itsuki Kyan (age 3) from Okinawa Prefecture.
The product realizing Itsuki's imagination, the "Talking Flower Machine Powered by Monjuro," features Monjuro, a member of Hoshipro, as its motif. It incorporates talking and communication functions, along with a flower fortune-telling feature. The machine's voice is provided by Minami Hamabe, who plays Monjuro in TV commercials.
On the same day, a special website released a web video introducing the project and showing the moment Itsuki was presented with the machine.
Though initially taken aback by the surprise visit, Itsuki gradually warmed up during their conversation, happily interacting with the machine—smiling as she gave its flowers water and light.
