The SEGA Group, which develops entertainment content, launched a web video series in April featuring the mysterious character "Sega Shiro," who adores SEGA, to commemorate its 60th anniversary this year. On June 3rd, SEGA's founding anniversary, it released the third and final episode, "Resolution" (120 seconds).
Sega cast Masato Fujioka, the eldest son of actor Hiroshi Fujioka, who famously portrayed the legendary character "Segata Sanshiro," as Sega Shiro.
The series portrays SEGA's forward momentum, embodying its DNA that "Creation is Life," through the new character Segashiro (SEGA, Know).
Episode 1: "Appearance" shows Segarō suddenly appearing at a school, popping up in various scenes and persistently answering every question with "It's SEGA!" Episode 2: "Secret" depicts Sega Shiro reminiscing about his father, whom he parted with in childhood. Suddenly, a masked man named "Sega Hatanshiro" appears, declaring, "SEGA is outdated!" The scene instantly escalates into a confrontation between the two.
The "Resolution" chapter depicts their battle. Segasho declares, "I'll protect Sega," and confronts the formidable Segahatan Shiro, but struggles. However, donning his father's memento judo uniform, he ultimately triumphs. Turning at the masked man's voice saying, "You've grown," he finds his father, Segata Sanshiro, standing there. His father declares, "You can protect Sega now," "I am the symbol of Sega's past," and "Surpass me. Throw me away." Resolved, Segata Shiro throws his father into space, only to realize he was dreaming in the classroom. Yet, Segata Shiro's hand clutched a belt engraved with his father's message.
In an interview, Hiroshi Fujioka commented, "Playing Segata Sanshiro over twenty years ago feels like yesterday," and "I never imagined my own son would play a similar role. I must thank everyone who created this debut opportunity for him. Seeing his earnest gaze made me happy as a parent."
