On February 4, Mizuno opened the "MIZUNO HOUSE" in Adler, Sochi, Russia. This temporary facility, located within the large commercial complex "Mandarin Mall" and open until February 23, displays the latest shoes and apparel used by Japanese Olympic athletes and globally active top athletes. It also serves as a support hub for athletes and a hospitality venue for event organizers.
The "Sochi Support Booth" inside the house provided tablet devices with the JOC's "Nippon Call Project" (*) app pre-downloaded. Visiting athletes could hear the "Nippon!" voices of various people participating in the project, and an AR (augmented reality) feature created a flame-shooting effect. Additionally, the booth displays participant comments and offers quiz content. It also shows footage from the January 20th send-off event, the promotional video for the JOC official song "There's No One Like You" by Morning Musume '14 (ambassadors for the Nippon! Call Project), and other content on the tablets, creating a relaxing atmosphere for athletes to unwind.
*Nippon Call Project: A campaign running from October last year to January 20 this year, collecting "Nippon!" cheers from across Japan via a dedicated app to support the Japanese national team. Approximately 128,000 people participated. At the January 20 send-off event for the Japanese delegation, the team's official support song was performed, and gloves featuring the flame logo were presented.
