※Information and Communication Technology
NICT is Japan's only public research institute specializing in ICT, conducting research and development on key technologies forming the 21st-century social infrastructure, such as communications, AI, and cybersecurity. The newly created "NICT Station" introduces nine "cutting-edge ICT research" projects, aiming to promote understanding of the research NICT is advancing and how this research will transform future society.
The approximately 3-minute video covers a wide range of research areas, including: * "Space Weather Forecasting" to mitigate societal risks from solar activity * "XR Telepresence Technology" that merges the real and virtual worlds * "Beyond 5G/NTN" for next-generation mobile communications * "NICTER" systems protecting society from cyberattacks
Additionally, young actor Mone Kamishiraishi provides the narration for NICT's official character "N," who explains research content and social impact alongside NICT researchers in the video. This marks her continued appearance following the previous work "The Future with N," which reached approximately 2.3 million views.
