Cyber Communications Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter cci) will fully launch its "Inventory Portfolio Management™ (IPM)" service for managing media companies' advertising inventory assets starting in October.
This move comes as the means for monetizing publishers' advertising inventory assets diversify beyond reserved advertising (pure ads) to include programmatic advertising (ad networks, ad exchanges, SSPs, etc.), reflecting the evolution of internet advertising.
"Inventory Portfolio Management™ (IPM)" is a service that aims to maximize advertising revenue by optimally distributing publishers' advertising inventory assets across platforms operated by other companies (ad networks, ad exchanges, SSPs, etc.), in addition to cci's existing pure advertising sales agency services and its own platforms like ADJUST and OpenX, all from a neutral standpoint. Additionally, it will mediate between advertising agencies and publishers in the Private Marketplace (PMP) domain, which is gaining attention in Japan as one means of maximizing revenue.
As an example of its service provided on a trial basis to select publishers, the company achieved a revenue increase of approximately 180% compared to the same month of the previous year for a lifestyle information site that entrusted it with the management of all its advertising inventory assets.
