The Moomin Cafe, themed around the Finnish fairy tale "Moomin," made its Hong Kong debut on December 5. This marks the first overseas outlet for Benelic, the company that operates the stores in Japan. This was reported by NNA, which distributes economic information in Asia.

The Moomin Café currently operates three locations: two in Tokyo and one in Fukuoka. It is particularly popular among women in their 20s to 40s. The Hong Kong flagship store also embodies the world of Moomin as depicted by author Tove Jansson. It offers Hong Kong-exclusive pancakes, Finnish home-style salmon milk soup, and venison stewed in demi-glace sauce.
The café is located in Harbour City, a large shopping mall in Tsim Sha Tsui. It has 73 seats and is open from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. A character goods shop is also attached.
