Dentsu Inc.'s overseas headquarters, Dentsu Aegis Network, has reached an agreement with shareholders of Emerald Consulting Company Limited (hereinafter "Emerald"), a comprehensive digital agency in Vietnam, to acquire a 40% stake in the company. Our group also holds an option to gradually increase its share and acquire a majority stake in the future.
Since its establishment in 2009, Emerald has achieved rapid growth and has evolved into a full-service digital agency providing comprehensive digital solutions.
It possesses the expertise and technology to deliver sophisticated and diverse digital marketing services demanded by clients, including formulating digital strategies encompassing social media, producing digital creative content, implementing display and search-linked advertising, developing and building website strategies, and managing online reputation. The company's services are highly regarded by clients, and in 2013, it was named Vietnam's Digital Agency of the Year by Campaign Asia-Pacific, a leading advertising industry publication in the Asia-Pacific region.
Until now, Dentsu Group's digital services in Vietnam were primarily provided through Emerald, a partnership between Dentsu Media Vietnam, a media agency, and Isobar, one of the global network brands. To strengthen its response to the rapidly growing digital market in Vietnam, Dentsu Group has decided to acquire shares in Emerald.
Going forward, Emerald will change its brand name to "Emerald - Linked by Isobar" and will collaborate with other Dentsu Group companies operating in Vietnam.
