Makoto Shinohara, Creative Director (CD)/CM Planner at Dentsu Inc., has been awarded the 2015 "Creator of the Year" prize by the Japan Advertising Association.
This award recognizes an individual creator from member companies who produced the most outstanding creative work in 2015. Since its inception in 1989, this marks the 27th time the award has been presented. This is the 25th time a Dentsu Inc. creator has been selected as Creator of the Year.
CD Shinohara was selected as the 2015 Creator of the Year for achieving high commercial appeal and gaining widespread mindshare among the Japanese public through the KDDI au "Santaro" campaign, among other accomplishments.
Additionally, three members from the Dentsu Group were among the eight selected as "Creator of the Year Medalists": Toru Tsuzuki (CD, Customer Business Bureau, Dentsu Chubu Branch), Shunpei Murata (CM Planner, CD Bureau, Dentsu Kyushu Inc.), and Masao Imanaga (CD, CD Bureau, Dentsu Kyushu Inc.).
