D2C Inc. will host the 3rd "CODE Awards 2016." This event honors successful marketing communications created through digital "experiences." The name CODE stands for Creativity Of Digital Experiences, derived from the source code that shapes the digital world.
Entries are accepted from advertisers, advertising agencies, and production companies from March 16 to April 20. (Entry sheets can be downloaded from the official website.)
Eligible entries are initiatives implemented or launched between April 1, 2015, and March 31, 2016. One Grand Prix will be awarded to the most outstanding entry from all submissions, along with five other awards. This year introduces a new category, "Best Use of Data," recognizing entries that effectively utilize "data," a field gaining increasing attention. Additionally, the "Best Use of Media" category has been reinstated.
Kazoo Sato (TBWA\HAKUHODO) has been appointed as the Chair of the Judging Committee. Five new judges have been added: Nadezhda Kirillova (Dentsu Inc.), John Merrifield (Google), Roy Tsukiji (BIRDMAN), Kazuaki Hashida (Hakuhodo Kettle), and Kana Bogaki (CyberAgent Crowdfunding), bringing the total number of judges to nine. The awards are scheduled to be announced in late June.
