The "2016 Creative Rankings" by Campaign Brief Asia, an advertising industry magazine for the Asian region, were announced. Dentsu Inc. was selected as "Creative Agency of the Year," and Dentsu Inc.'s Executive Creative Director Yuya Furukawa was chosen as "Creative Director of the Year." Ogilvy & Mather won "Creative Network of the Year," while the Dentsu Group ranked third overall.
This ranking was calculated by the magazine based on its own tally of awards won by advertising agencies in the Asia region at global advertising awards. Dentsu Inc. has maintained the top position since 2011, and this year again finished far ahead of the second-place agency. This year saw particularly notable leaps by Ogilvy & Mather (Singapore, up from 16th to 2nd) and BBDO Proximity (Bangkok, up from 60th to 5th).
Mr. Furukawa also secured his second consecutive "Creative Director of the Year" title, following last year's win. Second place in the ranking went to Eugene Cheong of Ogilvy & Mather (Singapore). Third place was awarded to Prasoon Joshi of McCann (Mumbai).
Points calculated from agency rankings and award achievements are as follows.
