Dentsu Inc. agrees to acquire 95% stake in Outfox AB, Sweden's largest data analytics and digital advertising company.

Dentsu Inc. Reaches Agreement to Acquire 95% Stake in Outfox AB, Sweden's Largest Data Analytics and Digital Advertising Management Company

 

Dentsu Aegis Network Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Toshihiro Yamamoto; Capital: ¥74,609.81 million), the overseas headquarters of Dentsu Inc., has agreed to acquire 95% of the shares of Outfox Intelligence AB (Headquarters: Stockholm; Director of Operations: Lars Johansson, Director of Analytics: Christoffer Luthman, hereinafter "Outfox") and an option for the Dentsu Group to subsequently make it a wholly owned subsidiary.

Founded in 2010, Outfox employs 14 top-tier consultants, including its two founders, and has achieved steady growth since its establishment. The company is certified as a Google Certified Partner and is one of the top 10 certified resellers globally for the "Google Analytics 360 Suite"※1. It is also highly regarded as a certified reseller in the Nordic region, including Sweden.

Following the share acquisition, we will integrate Outfox into the iProspect network, one of our group's global network brands*2 with strengths in the digital performance domain. This integration aims to strengthen business through collaboration with group companies. Specifically, we will deepen cooperation with Amnet, which provides trading desk services delivering digital advertising to more precise targets in a more timely manner, thereby enhancing synergies within the group in the Nordic region.

The impact of this transaction on the Company's consolidated results for the fiscal year ending December 2017 is expected to be minimal.


※1 "Google Analytics 360 Suite" is a comprehensive service covering data collection and analysis, decision-making, and action. It is available through Google Analytics 360 certified resellers or direct contracts with Google. All certified resellers meet stringent requirements and provide services equivalent to those obtained directly from Google. In Japan, seven companies, including Dentsu Digital Inc., are certified.
 
※2 Dentsu Inc. Aegis Network (London), which oversees Dentsu Inc.'s overseas operations, conducts business globally centered around 10 global network brands.
