Dentsu Inc. Invests in Russian Media Agency People & Screens

Dentsu Aegis Network, the overseas headquarters of Dentsu Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Toshihiro Yamamoto; Capital: ¥74,609,810,000), has reached an agreement with the shareholders of Russian media agency People & Screens (Headquarters: Moscow; Managing Director: Andrew Chernyshov; hereinafter "People & Screens") to invest in the company.

Established in 2015, People & Screens is a full-service media agency. It is particularly renowned for measuring the effectiveness of all advertising media spanning online and offline channels, such as mobile and television, and for developing more efficient media planning based on these measurements. Its client companies include many mobile app businesses engaged in e-commerce and gaming.

Mobile advertising is experiencing explosive growth in Russia alongside smartphone penetration. Dentsu Inc. estimates an 80% year-on-year increase in 2016 and forecasts continued significant expansion.

Following the investment, our group will accelerate its growth strategy by creating synergies through strengthened cooperation between our group companies operating in Russia and People & Screens.

The impact of this transaction on the consolidated results for the fiscal year ending December 2017 will be minimal.
