Dentsu Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Toshihiro Yamamoto), Dentsu Digital Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shuji Yamaguchi), and Cyber Communications Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Akio Niizawa) are launching "Premium View In-Stream Video Advertising" (hereinafter "the Service"), an in-stream programmatic advertising service. This new initiative in internet advertising exclusively delivers in-stream video ads (ads played within videos) on premium media and content.
This service carefully selects only premium media outlets for ad placement and strictly limits the video content displayed to that rigorously managed by advertisers. This approach overcomes issues that devalue internet advertising, such as "whether fraudulent impressions or clicks are being generated by 'machines' rather than 'people'" (ad fraud) and "whether ads are appearing on inappropriate sites" (brand safety).
While our group has long led the industry in developing and providing diverse in-stream advertising services, this new service achieves a previously unattained level of security and safety for video advertising.
Specifically, the media platforms where ads are displayed will be limited to companies possessing premium platforms such as commercial broadcasters' catch-up streaming services (ad placement locations: each broadcaster's streaming site and the official portal TVer) and GYAO (*1). Content handling is restricted to material meeting the following two conditions: First, it must be video content managed by major media companies (not user-generated videos). Second, it must be lawful (not illegally uploaded videos, and copyrights, portrait rights, etc., must be properly handled).
In operating this service, we will maximize the use of our unique "People Driven DMP" (※2), which leverages cutting-edge technology to realize people-centric marketing and maximize ROI.
