Developing Children's Sensitivity and Expressive Skills "Shovel School" Opens
This summer, SCHOP SCHOOL (organized by the SCHOP SCHOOL Executive Committee, planned and operated by EduSol, the University of Tokyo's Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology "ROCKET Project for Discovering Exceptional Talents," and follow your MUSE, with cooperation from MIT STUDIO, Math Girls, ifs Future Research Institute, and Yamazakura) will open its doors to nurture children's sensibilities and expressive abilities.
Its tagline is "A place where curiosity can dig as deep as it wants."

The school poses the question: "What skills will children need to live happily alongside AI in a future where society's form and structure differ greatly from today? How can they acquire these skills?"
In response, it states: "The abilities needed for the 'next society' called Society 5.0 are sensitivity, curiosity, a spirit of inquiry, and the ability to leap forward*. We believe these are not taught but must be unearthed and nurtured from within oneself. For children, what matters most is becoming engrossed in what they love and discovering the joy of trying something new."

Therefore, "By engaging with diverse programs created with genuine passion by creators and specialists active in society, children cultivate these essential abilities. The new possibilities born from mixing with inspiring adults, communities, and companies should fill children with excitement and anticipation. Such a place for liberated and focused learning is the Scoop School."
