"SoftBank Student Discount" Web Commercial Just when you thought it was a happy ending supporting exam students...

On February 5, SoftBank released a new web commercial titled "Good Luck, Students (and Parents)" on its official YouTube channel to promote the benefits of its "SoftBank Student Discount."
The commercial features talent MEGUMI as a mother with a child preparing for entrance exams and actor Kiri Shiro as her son.

The commercial begins with the mother recalling overcoming the entrance exams with her son. It depicts scenes like her son studying intensely in front of a "Passed" notice, the mother praying at a shrine, preparing late-night meals for her son, the two sharing the ups and downs of test results, and minor arguments.
His hard work pays off with an acceptance, and what should be a happy ending with tears of joy is interrupted by the harsh reality of tuition, uniform costs, and other pressing financial burdens for the parents. MEGUMI's comical transformation upon realizing this is particularly striking.
Under the message "We always realize what's important after the fact," the ad highlights the appeal of "SoftBank Student Discount," which helps household finances by consolidating family smartphone, internet, and electricity bills with SoftBank.

The song used is ZARD's "Don't Give Up." Cameo appearances include mom influencers Kozue Ninomiya and Atsuko, as well as education YouTuber Haichi. The ad also features scenes collaborating with the popular manga "February's Winner: The Classroom of Absolute Success," among other creative touches.
