Four Major Companies Supporting MAFF's "#Genki Itadakimasu Project" Launch Delivery and Takeout Campaigns
The #GenkiItadakimasu Project Secretariat announced on September 24 that four major delivery and takeout companies (Uber Eats, Demae-can, d Delivery, Rakuten Real-time Takeout) supporting the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries' #GenkiItadakimasu Project will launch their own unique campaigns.

The "#Genki Itadakimasu Project" is a Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries initiative to promote sales of domestic agricultural, forestry, and fishery products. These products have suffered reduced sales and other impacts due to the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Amidst inventory buildup, price declines, and reduced sales of domestic agricultural, forestry, and fishery products due to stay-at-home requests and stagnant exports, the project aims to promote sales of significantly affected items and provide consumers with opportunities and suggestions to enjoy them.
Its catchphrase is "Your bite gives Japan a boost." Project ambassador Suzu Hirose promotes the use of domestic agricultural, forestry, and fishery products in TV commercials and other media.
Amid growing demand for delivery and takeout services due to changing consumer behavior during the pandemic, four major delivery and takeout companies supporting the project are launching their own campaigns.
■Uber Eats
From October 1st to 14th, a "Buy one, get one free" campaign will be held on eligible menu items.
Participating restaurants will be featured, highlighting those offering menus using domestic agricultural products.
They will offer delicious menus and appeal to customers to increase demand for domestic products.
For details, visit the Uber Eats Newsroom.
■Demae-can
Starting in early October, we will set up a landing page (LP) aggregating Demae-can affiliated restaurants using eligible domestic products. We will enhance project awareness by displaying banners within the Demae-can site and showing project graphics on the order completion thank-you page.
Additionally, to increase the number of participating restaurants registered for the campaign, awareness will be raised through methods such as delivery personnel distributing flyers to partner restaurants.
For details, visit the campaign page on the Demae-can website (scheduled to update mid-October onwards).
■d Delivery
From September 25 to October 15, we will run the "#Genki Itadakimasu Project Campaign Phase 1," offering a 10% d Point rebate on orders of eligible delivery items made with domestic ingredients.
The first phase includes products from 13 brands: Pizza-La, VIVA PAELLA, Kakiya Sushi, Denny's, KFC, Gusto, Jonathan's, Bamiyan, PIZZA SALVATORE CUOMO, Niku Ichiba, Donmatsu, SPALA, and Pizza Hut. After entering the campaign, ordering eligible delivery items listed on the landing page will earn a 10% rebate in d Points (limited period/use).
After this campaign, multiple additional campaigns with different eligible items are planned through the end of December 2020.
For details, visit the campaign site. (Information updated September 25)
■Rakuten Real-Time Takeout
Starting around mid-October, a 20x Points Campaign will be held. When using the takeout services of participating restaurants through "Rakuten Real-Time Takeout," the standard 1% Rakuten Point rebate rate will be multiplied by 20.
Additionally, a similar campaign is planned for Rakuten Delivery, Rakuten's food delivery and takeout ordering service.
Campaign details will be announced in early October.
