Toward a New Era of Lunar Settlement! Special Exhibition "NEO Living on the Moon" Opens Today, April 28, at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Odaiba)

The NEO Living on the Moon Exhibition Production Committee, in collaboration with the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) and Shogakukan, will host the special exhibition "NEO Living on the Moon Exhibition: Space Exploration Enters a New Era of Lunar Colonization!" at the Special Exhibition Zone on the first floor of the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) in Odaiba. The exhibition will run for 118 days, from April 28 to September 3.
The "Living on the Moon Exhibition" creates a world where humanity's dream of "human lunar settlement" has become reality. Set in the year 2040, when humanity uses the moon as a base for space exploration, visitors can experience daily life "living on the moon." This new experiential event ignites dreams of space exploration, offering both children and adults an opportunity to learn while having fun.

Enjoy various experiential missions and exhibits. At the venue, you can choose roles unique to lunar pioneers, such as "Lunar Reporter," "Lunar Worker," or "Lunar Scientist." Seeing things from their perspective allows you to think about and learn about future space life with a sense of reality.

Lunar Gravity Experience Mission
Lunar gravity is about one-sixth of Earth's gravity. Experience the most significant difference in daily life on the Moon by changing into a special suit (with a harness) for a simulated experience. Challenge yourself to complete given missions, such as trying to jump high while feeling the lunar gravity.
*Experience requires a separate fee (¥500).

HAKUTO-R Full-Scale Model of the Lunar Lander
HAKUTO-R, which successfully launched its lunar lander in December 2022 and challenged the "world's first private lunar landing," is featured here. Full-scale models of HAKUTO-R's lander and rover are on display, allowing visitors to learn about their roles and structures.
