At the61st Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity*1 (Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2014) ,held in Cannes, France from June 15 to 21, 2014, Dentsu Inc.'s production "Sound of Honda/Ayrton Senna 1989" (Honda Motor Co., Ltd.) won the Grand Prix in the Titanium category. Additionally, the Dentsu Group won 11 Gold Lions, 9 Silver Lions, 12 Bronze Lions, and 1 Innovation Lion.
Based on total points earned across all categories, the Dentsu Group ranked third in the APAC region for the "Regional Network of the Year" award, while Dentsu Inc. itself placed second globally among individual advertising agencies.
Furthermore, in the Young Lions Competition*2 for creators aged 28 and under, the Dentsu Inc. representative team selected from Japan won a Gold Lion in the Print category.
The festival comprises 17 categories: Branded Content & Entertainment, Creative Effectiveness, Cyber, Design, Direct, Film Craft, Film, Innovation, Media, Mobile, Outdoor, PR, Press, Promo & Activation, Radio, Titanium & Integrated, and the newly established Product Design. Entries totaled 37, 427from 97 countries and regions.
Additionally, the newly established "Lions Health Festival" was held on June 13 and 14, preceding the main festival. Among the entries produced with Dentsu Inc.'s involvement, "Mother Book" (Aoi Shokai) won the inaugural Grand Prix .

*1 The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity began as a competition for theatrical advertising films as part of the Cannes International Film Festival. It became an independent event in 1954. It is highly regarded among international advertising awards for its scale, jury composition, and the high caliber of winning entries.
※2 The Young Lions Competition has been held since 1995 to provide creators aged 28 and under with an opportunity to hone their skills. In seven categories—Cyber, Design, Film, Media, PR, Print, and Marketer—two representatives from each country create works within a given timeframe and compete.
