Jane Limberden, CEO of Isobar China Group at Dentsu Aegis Network, was selected for AdAge's "Women to Watch 2015 China." The award honors notable figures in marketing, advertising, and technology; a total of 10 individuals from companies including Alibaba and UNIQLO were announced.
According to Ad Age, the digital services provided by Isobar China under Limberden's leadership significantly exceed the scope of mere brand building. She states, "Digital is now the most important medium in China. It's no longer a question of whether to use it, but how to use it and deliver results. We must integrate brand consulting, media, and technology, embedding them into mobile commerce and media content innovation."
The primary focus of the recognition was the performance of Isobar China, under Limberden's leadership, within the country's rapidly growing e-commerce sector. He explained, "For Chinese consumers, who are avid online shoppers, e-commerce is often their first point of contact with international brands. We support clients in building their businesses around e-commerce as the gateway to the brand experience." Other notable efforts included product development leveraging digital technologies like wearables.
Limbarden is originally from Taiwan. After earning an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, she founded an internet technology agency in 2000. In 2010, she took a year-long sabbatical to research ways to support an NPO dedicated to helping women and children living in poverty, alongside her husband. The couple continues to support fair trade coffee initiatives. She became CEO of Isobar China in 2013.
Gene Lin, former CEO of Isobar China and now Global CEO, was also selected for "Women to Watch 2014 China."
