US-based ★ Dating site "Sizzl" for bacon lovers

Add More Bacon to Your Love Life. Oscar Mayer, a meat processing company under Kraft Foods, has launched "Sizzl," a dating app for bacon-loving Americans.

The app is designed to help users find their "bacon soulmate." Users upload their photo and specify their bacon preferences in detail in their profile. The messaging feature then connects them with a "destined" partner who shares their tastes. Oscar Mayer explains, "This is the real 'bacon-wrapped date' (a play on the popular American dish, date, meaning the fruit, wrapped in bacon)."

The campaign is handled by 360i, part of Dentsu Inc. Aegis Network. The agency previously drew attention with the "Wake Up & Smell the Bacon" alarm app, which wakes users with the sound and smell of bacon cooking, and the "Wiener Rover," a hot dog-shaped remote-controlled vehicle that toured the U.S. The app is available for free download from the iTunes App Store.
