According to the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), U.S. digital advertising spending reached a record high of $59.6 billion (approximately ¥6.5 trillion) last year, a 20% increase from the previous year. Mobile advertising spending grew 66% to $20.7 billion (approximately ¥2.3 trillion), while social media advertising spending surged 55% to $10.9 billion (approximately ¥1.2 trillion), driving this growth.
Display advertising spending overall increased 3% to $13.9 billion (approximately ¥1.5 trillion), with video advertising spending within this category surging 30% to $4.2 billion (approximately ¥500 billion). Search advertising spending rose 8% to $20.5 billion (approximately ¥2.2 trillion).
