Dentsu Inc. was honored as the runner-up for Agency of the Year at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, an award determined by total wins throughout the festival. First place went to Adam & Eve DDB, which won four Grand Prix awards for "Sorry I Spent it on Myself."
This year, 37,427 entries from 97 countries and regions worldwide competed across 17 categories. Dentsu Inc. (Tokyo Headquarters) won the Titanium Grand Prix for "Sound of Honda / Ayrton Senna 1989" (Honda Motor Co., Ltd.), along with 7 Gold, 7 Silver, and 8 Bronze Lions. The Agency of the Year award is contested by agency offices, determined by the cumulative points earned across all categories from shortlist to Grand Prix.
