CEATEC JAPAN 2013, the leading IT and electronics exhibition (organized by the CEATEC JAPAN Organizing Committee), was held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba City from October 1 to 5. Under the theme "Smart Innovation: Creating Tomorrow's Lifestyle and Society," a total of 587 companies and organizations from Japan and 18 other countries and regions exhibited, attracting approximately 140,000 visitors.
Collaboration was also pursued with the upcoming "ITS World Congress Tokyo 2013" and the "43rd Tokyo Motor Show 2013," scheduled for October and November. This led to an increase in exhibits from automakers like Toyota Motor Corporation and Honda, as well as automotive-related technologies.
