The Marketing Magazine-hosted "Agency of the Year 2016" awards ceremony was held on May 25 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore. Dentsu Inc. Singapore won the top prize, "Overall Agency of the Year," for the first time.
This advertising award is one of the most prestigious in Singapore's advertising industry, honoring Agency of the Year across 14 categories including Creative, Digital, Media, and Social. Dentsu Inc. won Gold in Brand Consultancy and Content Marketing, and Silver in Creative, leading to the Overall Agency of the Year award.
Additionally, the "MARKies," which evaluate individual campaigns, were held concurrently. Here too, Dentsu Inc. Singapore won the Best Idea Award, the category Grand Prix, in the TV category (Singapore Navy) and the Retail Shopper category (UNIQLO).

As part of the campaign for "UTme!", a mobile app that lets users create original UNIQLO T-shirts, the GPS-enabled content "The UNIQLO Street Tales" was produced. In connection with Singapore's 50th anniversary, celebrities symbolic of the country and local artists expressed stories related to various locations in Singapore on T-shirts using UTme!. This provided a unique brand experience while also significantly contributing to sales.
