The Shibuya Ward Medical Association received the "Director-General of Medical Affairs Award (Medical Professionals Category) Excellence Award" at the 2nd "Effective Healthcare Utilization Awards" hosted by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. This award recognizes organizations undertaking necessary initiatives to protect healthcare and lives, or activities that promote effective healthcare utilization.

The association produced commercials featuring catchphrases like "Do you have a doctor you can rely on, like your favorite restaurant?" and displayed outdoor advertisements at Shibuya's famous scramble crossing. They also distributed posters with messages to all shopping district councils within the ward. Through these collaborative information campaigns with the community, they worked to raise awareness among generations lacking a primary care physician.
Furthermore, as a means to promote "family doctors," the association became the first medical association in Japan to adopt "CLIEN," a clinic appointment and digital medical questionnaire system developed by Dentsu Inc. Its swift response to improving information access in community healthcare was highly regarded.
The association's initiative, which established a foundation for digitizing communication between clinics and patients, is anticipated as a model case for promoting the digitalization of community healthcare.
