The Grand Prix top prize was awarded to Junichi Yamaoka's "Morphing Cube." It expresses 3D computer graphics using real-world materials. A simple cube made of rubber bands transforms into various shapes like trapezoids, rectangular prisms, and flat surfaces, or moves parallel. Yamaoka shared his aspirations: "It's not yet a finished product useful for anything, so I want to develop it further by incorporating various opinions and advice, aiming for practical application."
Tetsuya Mizuguchi, CEO of Resonear and Specially Appointed Professor at Keio University Graduate School, who served as a judge, concluded, "I felt the energy of how to hack things and make them new. Even if it's rough around the edges, I want to see ideas that hack things to make the world better."
The Runner-up Grand Prize went to Atsumi Osada's "Me and Myself." The Graphic Design Award was won by Yui Umemoto's "Sword Dance." The Movie Award went to Seiichiro Shimizu's "NINCHRO FIGHT with HUMAN
BEATBOX," the 3D Products Award went to Takafumi Inuzuka's "Voice: Connecting Thoughts and Form," the Best Idea Award went to "'Noh' Connects Japan Culture!," the Public Award went to Hinatsu Kouda's "Underneath," and the Best Presentation Award went to Yasuhiro Tsuchiya's "INTERNET SHRINE."
